Eva J. Rinnan's Obituary
Eva Rinnan, born Cle Elum, WA in 1917, long time Tacoma resident, died February 14, 2006. She grew up in Cle Elum, graduating from Cle Elum High School in 1935. Her years in Cle Elum were always very dear to her. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-three years, Lester Rinnan. They owned and operated Rinnan's Unfinished Furniture from 1946 through 1978, when son Steven bought the business. She was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Tacoma, and a devoted Quilting Circle member there for many years. She inspired her children with the love and appreciation of good food, beauty and travel.She spent her last five months happily making new friends, relating life experiences, exchanging new ideas and playing bingo and dominos at Narrows Glen.Eva is greatly missed by many, and is survived by her children Leslie Ann Rinnan (husband George Foster) and Steven Rinnan (partner Les Scamfer), grandsons Taliesin Moore (wife Linda) and d'Artagnan Moore (wife Maureen), and great-grandson Rohnan.Eva is survived in Cle Elum by brother Mitch Starkovich (wife Jill), nieces Randine (husband Charlie) and Kelly, sister-in-law Mary Starkovich, and many grand nephews and nieces.A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at Mountain View Memorial Park.
