Eunice G Tillis' Obituary
On November 21, 2018, Mrs. Eunice Tillis went to be with the Lord, after years of home care.
Mrs. Tillis was married to the late Brother Alexander Tillis, and she was the mother of three children, all of which are deceased and have joined the Lord in Heaven. In addition to raising their three children she also taught and volunteered in the church. She had a special love for the church. She served faithfully as Church Pianist, Youth Director, and Treasurer of the Women’s Department.
Mrs. Tillis was a woman of integrity. She was an active member of Saint Paul Baptist Church. She loved and cared for family, friends, especially members of her community and church, she loved them with passion and delight.
For several years, Mrs. Tillis enjoyed participating in games, including bingo, pinochle and dominos. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the American Bridge Association for a number of years. Being part of the Bridge community allowed her opportunities to travel and participate in bridge tournaments.
She gave us all courage, hope, and reminded us how precious life is. She enjoyed music and teaching young people.
Sister Tillis has joined her parents, Alma and Puella Giles; her husband, Alexander Tillis, and her sons, Rayford Giles Sr., Marc Tillis, and recently her daughter Karen Tillis. She is survived by her Daughter-in-Law Annette Giles, her grandson Rayford Giles, Jr. and her many relatives, and friends across the United States. We will greatly miss her presence.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood.
