Eunice Thorson's Obituary
EUNICE I. THORSON (EGGEBRAATEN)
07.06.22 – 12.28.17
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
Eunice was born on a farm outside of Volga, South Dakota and grew up in a family of ten brothers and sisters raised by her parents Paul and Laura. A full blooded Norwegian, she learned to cook and bake at a young age which began a life-long passion. She graduated from Rutland High School. She met the love of her life in Palo Alto California where she was married at First Lutheran Church at the age of 20 to Glenn. They raised a family of five children in a variety of locations throughout their 63 years of marriage to include California, South Dakota, Montana, Oregon and eventually Washington State. Eunice’s life-long vocation was that of a wife, mother, and grandmother (great and great-great). She adored her children and was proud of their families as they grew through the years. She rested in her faith her entire life. She was always active in her Lutheran church to include altar guild, Sunday school teacher, Bible Study group leader and serving in the food bank. She continually expressed her gratefulness to her church, Mt. View Lutheran, especially the Pastors and Deacons that have visited with her in her later years. She loved cooking, baking, and gardening but most important to her was the love she shared with her family. She loved her family to her final breath. She is survived by her daughter’s Sharon Gunderson (Robert), Penny Crabtree (Michael), Julie Williams (Mark), Colleen Krebs (Glenn) and her son Gregory Thorson (Michelle and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her family expresses their thanks to Mt. View Lutheran Church, the staff at Linden Grove and Hospice that took such good care of her in her final days. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mt. View Lutheran Church.
