Eugene H. Wilce Sr.'s Obituary
TOGETHER AGAIN Eugene H. Wilce, Sr. US Army/US Air Force After almost 8 long years, Dad finally received his wish and entered God's Kingdom, where he was reunited with the love of his life, his dear wife Mitsuko. Eugene H. Wilce Sr., born August 30th, 1929 in Forty Forth, PA to James and Christina Wilce, was reunited with Mom on September 8th, 2008. He was the second oldest of 10 siblings, with four sisters and five brothers. He was a locally-known high school athlete, who turned down opportunities to play in college to join the Army after graduating from Forty Forth HS in 1946. He honorably served his country until retiring in 1971 after stints in both the Army and Air Force, seeing action during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. It was during the Korean conflict, while stationed in Japan, that he met his one and only true love, Mitsuko. They married and moved back to PA to start their family, eventually moving to WA while stationed at McChord AFB, where he retired and settled down to raise his family. Dad was a wonderful and loving husband, a role model for a father, a kind and nurturing grandfather, and always had time for a friend in need. He is survived by his two sons, Eugene Jr. (Shari) and James (Rhonda), grandchildren Mya, Dustin, Amber, Hailey, Michelle and Nathan, and several great-grandchildren, along with two brothers, James and Robert, and sisters Ann, Jacqueline, and Marilyn. Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on September 17th, 2008 at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, we would like donations sent to Good Samaritan Hospice, c/o Good Samaritan Foundation, Puyallup, WA, who helped provide loving care during our time of need.
