Eufrocina "Rose" Yap's Obituary
Eufrocina P. “Rose” Yap began her journey to heaven on June 1, 2017. She was born in Teresa, Rizal, Philippines where she earned her bachelor’s degree and worked as a general clerk at Fort McKinley. Rose came to the U.S. in 1948 and fulfilled 30 years of civil service work in Alaska, California and finally settled in Tacoma, WA, where she retired from McChord, AFB.
Rose was a loving wife and mother who balanced a successful career and a fulfilling life with her family. She is survived by her 2 daughters and numerous family members who will all miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Yap.
Services for Rose will be held on Saturday June 10, 2017 at 10:00/AM at Mountain View Funeral Home Aspen Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW Lakewood WA 98499. Interment will follow chapel services at Mountain View Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday June 9, 2017 from 12:00/PM to 7:00/PM and prior to chapel services on Saturday from 9:00/AM to 10:00/AM. Family and friends kindly invited.
