Ethelda Grace Taylor's Obituary
Born November 29, 1920 in Dayton, Washington, she passed away peacefully on May 26, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Albert in 2003. She is survived by her sons Don (Wendy) and John (Donna), grandson Jeffrey and great-grandson Zachary, as well as a sister Bonnie.Ethelda worked for the Maritime Commission during WWII, the telephone company, and as a legal secretary for various firms in Tacoma. She retired in 1984 as export supervisor for the Port of Tacoma.She was a lifetime member of the Christian Science Church. She was active in Girl Scouts, PTA, and the Ladies Oriental Shrine. Ethelda will forever be remembered as the Â"cookie ladyÂ" at numerous Pierce Transit Retirees monthly breakfasts, and Christmas luncheons.Memorial services are to be held 1pm, Thursday, June 3, 2004 in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send a remembrance to the Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma, specifically the Seymour Botanical Conservatory at WrightÂ's Park. The family would like to thank the staff of Sunrise Haven Nursing Home in Kent.
