Ethel Marie Myers' Obituary
Ethel Marie Myers, 91, of Tacoma was born November 28, 1924 in Cathcart, WA, and passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2015. Ethel retired in the 1980’s as Manager at the Little Park Restaurant in Spanaway where she had worked for over 20 years. She was also the Chief Scorer at Spanaway Speedway and Olympia-Tenino Speedway. She was an avid race fan and was even a Championship race car driver at Spanaway Speedway in the Powder Puff division in the 1960’s. She was also a huge NASCAR and Seattle Seahawks fan. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Lee Myers, parents Ethel and Ralph, 7 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her children, Donna O’Neal of Greenwater, Dianna Doherty of Puyallup, Butch O’Neal of Tonasket, Bob O’Neal of Tacoma and Jack O’Neal of Tacoma. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Heartwood Extended Healthcare for the tremendous care and love that was shown to our mother while she was there. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd S.W., Lakewood, WA.
