My family lived next door to Grandma Esther for 18 years. We sat in her backyard many times talking and watching Tyler, Kelsey, Wesley, Bradley, Derek and Riley playing on the slide, the trampoline, and swimming. I have a lot of very fond memories of her and our families. One of my fav’s is a day I was baking cupcakes and Riley came over looking for Derek to play. He asked if he could have a cupcake but I had just taken them out of the oven and still needed to frost them. He asked me if I could ”put one in Grandmas mailbox“ for him as they were going to be leaving soon. He knew Grandma would rescue the cupcake from her mailbox and save it for him.
