Esther L. Comstock's Obituary
Esther, 83, died October 11, 2005 in Lakewood, WA where she had lived since 1953. She was born to Karl Kesti, of Oulu, Finland and Hilma Jurmu of Frederick, SD. She served as a W.A.C. in Yokohama during the U.S. Forces Occupation of Japan in 1945 and later as a Department of the Army Civilian in Berlin during the Airlift. She was a long-time employee of Madigan Army Hospital. Esther is survived by her brother, Raymond Kesti of Poulsbo, her daughter Alison (Michael) Katus of Germany, her son Casey Comstock of Lakewood, granddaughter Vivien (Brandon) Boushie of Irving, NY, and great-granddaughter Noelle. At her request, there will be no services.Heartfelt gratitude to the nursing, medical, and ancillary staff of American Lake VA Hospital for their exceptional care and love.
