Esther Irene (Erb) (Bruner) Bundy
Our GG is gone to the soul-ar system. Born Febrary 1, 1917 in Great Bend, North Dakota to William and Helena Erb. Died October 24, 2011 in Tacoma, Washington. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harry Erb, Howard Erb and Arnold Erb, sister Mildred Calkins, and husbands Virgil Bruner and Richard Bundy. Survived by sisters Ada Struck of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Lillian Rodahl of Hazen, North Dakota, brother William Erb of Tacoma, son William (Sue) Bruner of Olympia, daughter Shirley (Richard) Fisk of Tacoma, grandchildren Jill (Brad Young) Bruner, Dean (Lisa) Fisk, Erin Bruner, and Gael (George) Serviss, and great-grandchildren Brandon Fisk, Derek Fisk, and Nina Bruner-Young. Esther was raised on a North Dakota farm and moved west with other members of her family during World War II. She worked as a nanny, housekeeper, and school cafeteria aide. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tacoma. Esther's family would like to thank especially the employees of King's Manor Senior Living Community, Heartwood Extended Health Care, and Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care.
