I've known Esther since I was seventeen, 43 years to be exact. You see, I married her oldest son, Lloyd Jr. Esther had so many wonderful qualities that I admired about her. She had a protective love for her family a courage and strength at all times, but especially in times of adversity and disappointment a love for truth and God. She had a zest for life and wasn't afraid of it. She was a great cook and on many of our visits she would prepare not one, but two main dishes, such as roast beef and salmon along with freshly baked bread, pies and cookies. All to start our mouths watering the minute we entered her home. I miss her much! I miss our phone conversations, our visits with her, her stories of long ago, her laughter and her love. I will never forget the essence of this wonderful woman I will always hold dear to my heart, and I thank God for the opportunity of knowing her. Someday, we will meet again and I will hug her so tight.
