Esther Fauver's Obituary
Esther May (Van Cleave) Reisdorph-Fauver May 22, 1933 - December 30, 2012
Esther Fauver passed away in her home on the morning of Sunday, December 30th, 2012 at the age of 79. Esther was born in Hettinger, North Dakota to Zeddie Earl and Florence Van Cleave. She moved to Tacoma, Washington with her then-husband, Robert Reisdorph, and six children in 1967.
Esther was a school teacher and later worked in a nursing home and for cleaning services.
Esther was the monarch of our family and always kept us together through thick and thin. She was deeply devoted toward her family till the very end. Esther is survived by her loving husband, William Fauver, her children, Dave and Terry Reisdorph, Doug and Lynn Reisdorph, Wayne Reisdorph, and Wes and Lisa Reisdorph, 16 adoring grandchildren, and 11 great- grandchildren, along with her seven siblings, brothers, Everett (her twin), John, Paul and Orman Van Cleave, and sisters, Eileen Tenold, Joyce Hanson, and Carol Tishmack.
Esther was diagnosed with breast cancer and cancer of the lymph nodes on July 20, 2012. With the support and prayers of her whole family, especially of note her husband and devoted granddaughters, Andrea Ramirez, Carla Ramirez and Crystal Hymer, Esther courageously battled the cancer that ultimately took her life. It was this same remarkable strength that brought her through the devastating losses of her two daughters, Sheri Ramirez in January and Cindy Olsen in July. Strength, compassion and faith were hallmarks of her life, and she will be greatly missed.
Esther joined her first husband, Robert Reisdorph, and her recently deceased daughters with their Lord in heaven.
The family has suffered great loss in 2012 but is able to continue on with the hope of Jesus Christ, who by His grace has brought these women, and will bring those who survived her, together once again.
Services will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2013 in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Celebration of Life Center, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA. Reception to follow.
