Esther Evelyn (Anderson)'s Obituary
Was born August 22, 1915 at home in Tacoma, the fourth of nine children of Andrew and Esther Anderson. She graduated into the presence of Jesus Christ on May 24th, 2003, in Marysville, Washington.Esther graduated from Stadium High School in 1933. After graduation, God led Esther to lay aside her plans to be a missionary nurse and instead help financially support her family after her father passed away. God then led her to marry Chester W. Easton on November 1st , 1941 at Central Baptist Church in Tacoma. Esther was a devoted wife and mother. Her life was invested in Chet until his passing in 2001. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her quiet ministry of intercessory prayer and gift of helps. She and Chet had attended Our SaviorÂ's Baptist Church in Federal Way. EstherÂ's constant desire was to see the Savior she followed from her childhood. Her two favorite phrases were Â"Perhaps TodayÂ" and Â"Where He Leads I will followÂ". On May 24th He led, and she followed Him to heaven.She was preceded in death by Chet, her beloved husband of 60 years, her parents, two sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by her daughter Carol (David) Grant of Marysville, son Douglas (Jamie) Easton of Coupeville, grandchildren Amy (Tony) Scherrer, Matthew Grant, Kristin Grant, and Ryan Hickman, and great-grandchildren Madelynn, Alden, and Anthony Scherrer. She is also survived by her sister Margaret (Harmon) Fredricks of Fircrest, brother Howard (Nancy) Anderson of Milton, and by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors from wherever she lived, including the Browns Point area, and the Village Green (Federal Way) and Windsor Pointe (Marysville) retirement communities who knew and appreciated her quiet grace and helpful spirit. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2003 from 11:00am Â- 9:00pm, and Saturday, May 31, 2003 from 8:30am Â- 11:15am. A graveside service will be held Saturday, 11:30am at Mountain View Memorial Park with a memorial service to follow at 12:00pm noon in the Celebration of Life Building.
