Errol O Moss' Obituary
On November 4, 2018, a bright Fall Sunday morning here in the Great Pacific
Northwest, Errol Oldwyn Moss, 81, passed away at St Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma,
Washington.
Errol was born to Gordon Moss and Mozell Scott Moss on November 12, 1936 In
Crumpler West Virginia.
During his earlier years of life, Errol attended public school in Crumpler West VA. He
graduated from Elkhorn Negro High School May 26, 1954.
Following gradation he joined the United States Air Force in 1956 and was Honorably
Discharged April 30, 1977 with twenty-two years of faithful service to our country. After
retiring from the Air Force he took up his passion for cooking and served an additional
13 years in civil service at Madigan Army Hospital.
Deacon Moss rededicated his life back to Christ in 2007 under the leadership of Bishop
Leo C. Brown, Jr. at True Vine Community, COGIC. His desire was to serve out his life
loving and serving his family and children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Mozell Moss, two brothers
James Willie and Divie Moss, two sisters, Fay Price and Alta Griffit,
a daughter Teresa Renee Moss and his twin brother Darrel Goldwyn Moss who went to
be with the Lord at the age of five.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his former wife Mary Moss, sons Michael and Kevin
Moss, daughter Sheril Moss, daughter in-law Timnit Moss, and sisters Francis Spencer,
Rosa Bell Ramey, brother in-law Bruce Spencer, Grandchildren, DeJuan Moss,
Travaughn Homer, Mychael Moss, Lina Crosby, Marcus Moss, Joe Crosby, Maurice
Moss, Taseaina Moss, Errol and Vanessa Moss, Walter Grant, Maliyah and Isaiah
Holifield. Great grandchildren, Kaydence, Josiah, Shauna, Shayla, Ivan, Elicia,
Chenoah, Kyiah, Jaelynn and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,
shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that loved his
appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
