Ernest Richard Kellenberger's Obituary
Ernest Richard Kellenberger
Ernest Richard Kellenberger was born on January 27, 1953 at the United States Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, Illinois and passed away on September 8, 2011 in Tacoma, Washington at a young age of 58. Richard graduated from Washington High School and Pacific Lutheran University. He had many careers throughout his life, but the two careers that brought him the most joy were with Andrew's Clock and Watch Repair Shop at Sears for 10 years and with the Transportation Security Administration for 8 years. Richard liked playing and watching many sports, and in particular he was a great fan of badminton. As a humble man, Richard seldomly touted his professional affiliation with badminton and the many work related recognition that he received. Richard lived his life with grace and kindness. He saw the good in everyone he met and always viewed challenging situations from a glass is always half full position. Richard will be missed terribly by his surviving wife Marie, his sister Cheryl, brother John Jr., sister in law Regina, niece Kathryn, nephew Paul, and his dog Penny. A private family service is planned at Mountain View Funeral Home. Because of Richard's love for animals, the family asks that donations be sent to the Tacoma Humane Society. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
