Ernest Cagle
Ernie was born October 19, 1919 in Orofino, Idaho and passed away December 6, 2008 in Tacoma, Wa. Ernie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He grew up in Spokane, Wa, graduating from Lewis and Clark High School and attending Gonzaga University. Ernie served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, seeing combat on Tarawa in the South Pacific. He spent the majority of his working years as an accountant with General Telephone Co, in Spokane, Everett, and later Tampa, Florida, retiring to Tacoma in 1982 to be near family. Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marian, son Dan Cagle (Sharon), daughter Connie Watkins, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at Mountain View Cemetery at 2:00 Saturday, December 13 in the Garden Chapel. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial in Spokane. No graveside services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
