Erna Rutt's Obituary
Erna Rutt Erna Rutt was a deeply religious woman who was called to heaven on April 16, 2009 to be with the angels. She began her life in Tacoma on February 26, 1914, graduated from Lincoln High School, worked as a bookkeeper and medical receptionist, and married Alexander Rutt on October 13, 1934. When Erna was fifteen years old she started a social group of friends - simply called the "Club" - and this group of women continued to meet once a month until they were in their eighties. Erna attended the Life Center Church and gained happiness from the fellowship offered by the Women of the Word. Erna is preceded in death by her husband and five siblings. She is survived by her son Larry Rutt (Sharon), daughter Jevra Bashey (Husain), five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 11am at Mt. View Funeral Home in Lakewood in the Celebration of Life Center. Reception to follow.
