My hearts aches upon hearing about Eric's passing. We met at Nathan Hale High School and with a tip about a job in 1980 from Eric my life changed forever. I will always love him for what he did for me. Rest in Peace my friend. Floyd James Blanton Jr

This is a quote I shared with Eric not too long ago:

Remember everything you have faced, all the battles

I watched my brother become stronger as his illness progressed. His faith grew and he looked ahead to a new world. I know I will see him again.

I was surprised and saddened to hear the news about Eric. He was one of my best friends when I lived in Tacoma. He was my workout partner, confidant, and road dawg. There is so much to tell about the greatest love I've ever known and yet no one will ever know the real Eric A. Richardson Jr as I lived with him for 26 years. He came to me with the help of the all we love so much, its called life. We share everything that life had to offer, and stayed together for years, his love for many things gave me a bright out look on life and more. He was a very strong human being and the battle he went through was very ruff, but he never gave up and never surrender to the battle of what took him from me. His home was his castle his dogs was his love his family was his soul and I became his love. We always looked to the stars and said to each other that someday this will end, but we would never leave each other and some how in my heart I know that we will be together again someday. I miss him so much and will never for get the time we spent together on this earth. Eric I love you and will do so for ever.
Eric was a strong person with an extremely infectious smile and laugh. I always knew when he was right around the corner. I will miss the joy and professionalism he brought to the office every day. I feel fortunate to have worked with him every day for almost 4 years. He will be greatly missed.

I've known Eric most of my adult life and remember many fun times with him and our friends in Tacoma & Seattle. We worked for about a year at the same firm in downtown Seattle and it was great to have a familiar face to laugh & joke around with. Eric was a thoughtful, classy guy who enjoyed life and loved his family. My sincere condolences to Ken & all family members, and to Wade & all of Eric's friends. I pray that God provide you with happy tears & warm smiles until we are able to see Eric again.
