Sadly, I just learned of Jake's passing after all these years.

I knew him when we both lived in Florence, OR. Jake, the teenager, would visit the offices of Senior & Disabled Services, where I worked at the time, and he always made my day. He'd have a big, beautiful smile and a huge hug for me, and I cherished that young man.

I moved away from Florence many years ago, but I always kept Jake in my heart. It's wonderful to know that a part of him is still living through his children. I am sending many blessings and prayers to his family.

Jake played softball on our church team. He became a good friend to my family and to everyone on the team. It would always be an exciting game when jake was able to play wether because of his skill or just because we all just had fun! Jake was a good man and a good friend. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Markle was a really great guy. Wonderful father! The two of you were just made for each other. He would walk past and always had a big smile on his face. I remember seeing you all at the end of the last day and what a family you all were! Everybody had big grins and could not wait to get the summer started. My mother has always told me the God never puts anything on your shoulders that you cannot handle. Well, it is going to be tested here! I love you all very much and I will miss Mr. Markle dearly. I remember the day you swooped Courtney up and away, making her life a perfect bliss. I watched you and admired what a wonderful father you were to your beautiful children.
