Enid L. Kreidler's Obituary
Enid was a resident of Tacoma for 59 years. Her nursing career spanned 20 years at the Indian Hospital, TB Sanitarium, Madigan Army Medical Center, and the Western State Hospital in Steilacoom. After that her entrepreneurial skills surfaced. Her business ventures included a gas station, drive-in restaurant, antique store and an upholstery shop. On the side she dabbled in real estate and purchased and rehabilitated many fixer-uppers. Her love for cars drove her to buy and trade many cars, mostly Hillmans, Volvos, and especially Studebakers of which she was a founding member of the regional club chapter.Enid s love for animals was apparent to anyone who visited her. She raised goats, sheep and chickens, but her real love was her corgis. At any time she could have up to ten corgis.She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron (Mike) Kreidler. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Sather and Karol Cocchi, and her sons Burt Kreidler and Marc Kreidler. Her surviving siblings are W. John Sheen of Bothel and Doris Maca of Bellevue. She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.There will be a private internment for the family at Mt. View Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held for her friends and family on Sunday May 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist South Side Church located at 230 S. 94th St., Tacoma. Donations may be made in her honor at The Humane Society of Pierce County.
