EMILY LOUISA DWYEREmily L. Dwyer passed away on August 25, 2006 at The Comfort Zone in Lakewood. She was born in London, England on May 10, 1910. Emily worked at the Claridge Hotel in England. She enjoyed telling her family stories of famous people who would stay at the hotel. She was also a foreign telephone operator in England and The U.S. speaking English and French. She retired from St. HelenÂ's Medical Lab as a Phlebotomist in the 1970s. She and her first husband Edward Steele Clarke had one son Antony Clarke. At age 24 Edward passed away. While working as an operator in Alaska she met her second husband David E. Dwyer. They were married until his death in 1976. Emily is survived by her son Antony E. Clarke (Minnie); 7 grandchildren Victoria Barbee (Muriel), Ellissa Mangold (Greg), Sue Romero (Phil), Antony E. Clarke Jr., Emily Eichorn (Jim), Vincent Clarke (Kay), and Linda Sophie; 24 Great Grandchildren; 8 Great-Great Grandchildren; 3 nieces Jackie Wetherilts, Maureen Blann, and Sharon Holt; and a nephew David Clifford. Emily will be inurned at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma.
