Emily Cunigunda Bachelor
Emily Cunigunda Bachelor was born October 28, 1922, and went home to Heaven June 27, 2012. Emily was born in Astoria, Oregon; she was the daughter of Cunigunda West and Charles Theodore Valentine. She was raised with her cousins and aunt Annie McCutcheon. She was predeceased in 2000 by her husband, Harold E. Bachelor. Emily attended Lincoln High and graduated from Stadium High School in 1940. She had many treasured friends including Bonnie, Myrna, and Roby. Emily is survived by her sister Barbara Iriartborde and cousins Marian Iufer and James Langenfelder, as well as by her children: son Joseph (Effie) Bachelor, and daughters Gwendolyn (John) Overland, Dorothy (Ron) Hack, and Patricia Larsen, as well as 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Emily worked for many years at Mt. Rainier Ordinance Depot and Fort Lewis Logistics Center. Emily held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, whom she spent valuable time with. Emily was a beloved and an important person in every family member's life.
On Tuesday, July 3, 2012, the family will attend a private graveside service, after which Emily's life will be celebrated at 2:30 PM at Life Center, 1717 South Union, Tacoma, Washington.
