Elvin L. Tucker's Obituary
Elvin Leon Tucker 12/31/26 B 5/3/2008 Elvin living 81 good years, died May 3, 2008 of natural causes. He was born in Onalaska, WA. on December 31, 1926. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 serving in the Pacific. Elvin could fix things. He worked for Sears in Tacoma, WA in appliance repair for more than 27 years. After retiring from Sears, he started his own business. As a longtime member of Lakewood Lutheran Church, he spent many hours maintaining the church property as well has helping members of the congregation. Elvin was enjoyed the outdoors. He loved the water and spent many hours fishing and fixing his boats. He was also an avid hunter and gardener. He was preceded in death by his sisters Eva and Charlotte and is survived by his sister Kathryn and brother Bill. He married Thelma Maddox of Sayre, OK on February 8, 1947. They were married 48 years before Thelma's passing in 1995. They had two children, Dale Leon Tucker, and Donna Lynn Cox. Elvin is survived by eight grand children and seven great grandchildren. A service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, May 8, 2008 in the Garden Chapel, Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Lakewood WA.
