Elsie Cowling
November 4, 1918 – September 14, 2016
Elsie was born on November 4, 1918 in Ruff Washington to Marie & George Oswald, Russian/German immigrants.
Elsie graduated from Lincoln High School where she met the love of her life Eldon. Together they raised two children; shared 69 years of marriage and were blessed to have traveled extensively all over the world.
Elsie was a wonderful cook and she and Eldon loved entertaining. Upon Elsie's retirement from First Interstate Bank, she & Eldon volunteered at Madigan hospital for over 25 years. She was a member of the Germans from Russia Society and AOUW.
Elsie lived life to the fullest, loved to laugh and was such a gracious lady. She will be greatly missed.
Elsie is predeceased by her husband Eldon, & her son W.J. (Jerry) Cowling. Survived by Daughter Sandy/Alan Diorio; Daughter-in-law (Peggy) Lyn Cowling; Grandchildren, Tom/Judy Cowling; Julie Cowling; Carrie/Brian Fairthorne; Kevin Diorio; Great Grandchildren Garret & Brooks Balmer; JJ, Morgan and Tyler Fairthorne, and many nieces and nephews.
