Elsie E. Bowlen's Obituary
Elsie Ellen Bowlen, 83, of Tacoma, Washington passed away on December 12, 2016. On June 25, 1933, Elsie’s father delivered her on her uncle’s bed at his home in Olympia, WA. She grew up in University Place, WA and later went on to become an occupational therapist at Western State Hospital. Elsie loved country western music. She played the drums in a band called “The Revelers” and was a lifelong Ray Price fan. She also enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and painting. Elsie joins her parents Mary (Main) and Dardenal Bowlen, along with her sister Flo and her many beloved dogs in heaven. She is survived by her grandson Jake Anderson and his wife Laura.
A Gathering for friends and family to Celebrate Elsie's Life will be held from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Celebration of Life Center, Oak Room at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Lakewood, WA.
