Elmer C. Smith's Obituary
Elmer C. Smith, 79, died at home on September 26 after a long battle with cancer. He was born March 9, 1931 in Port Gamble, WA. He graduated from South Bend High School before joining the Navy. He retired from the Tacoma-Pierce County Humane Society. He is survived by son, Bill (Neovoh) Dickerson and daughters, Linda Haas, Oleta (Don Kirsch) Wetherell, Anna (Robert) Boman, Mona Williams and Geri Spicer, 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and brother Claude (Faye) Smith. Services will be at Mt. View Memorial Park in Tacoma, WA. Viewing on Thursday, Sept 30 from 2PM-9PM, funeral service on Friday, Oct 1 at 11AM, and reception afterwards in Tumwater.
