Elliott R. Kinzner's Obituary
Elliott R. Kinzner was a walking history of the city of Tacoma. He was born on November 11, 1912 in the Hilltop neighborhood and he continued to live in the city until his death on March 7, 2015 at the age of 102. As an avid fisherman and hunter, he kept his grandchildren and great grandchildren entertained with the stories about his adventures and the ever changing face of our city that would eventually take away his favorite hunting and fishing spots.
Elliott was born to Frank and Agnes (Sinding) Kinzner and was the fourth of five sons. He married Marie Scheibal in 1938 and they were together until her death in 1986. He worked for many years at the Carling Brewing Company in the fermentation cellars and was very proud of the product it produced.
He outlived his siblings and friends but will be missed by the ones who loved him. His son Charles (Carol) Kinzner, his grandchildren Kristine (Shannon) Matthews and Kevin (Julie) Kinzner and his great grandchildren Addison and Aidan Matthews, Eric Kinzner and Cole and Kate Ashbaugh.
A celebration of his life will be held at later date.
