Ellen Lois Malone (Workman)'s Obituary
"Big Grandma"
Ellen went to heaven surrounded by family on March 20, 2016. She was at peace; looking forward to being with Grandpa and God. Ellen graduated from High School in Selah, WA. She married the love of her life James Malone in 1961 in Yakima, WA. Grandma attended several churches in the area. Ellen had several struggles in life but they never caused her to lose her faith. In 1965, her husband James became permanently disabled. Ellen provided full-time care for him for nearly 40 years. She had an eye for fashion and was an extraordinary seamstress. She was able to see literally anything. Grandma had many hobbies but she especially liked to garage sale. We always had to check the intellectual section to see what was happening with Pickles, Zits, and Garfield. Grandma loved to shop but she was also very frugal. She loved living in Lakewood because we could walk to just about everything. She was quick witted, and always made us laugh.
