I have thought about Ellen so much lately. I am so sorry that we lost touch but wonderful memories flooded back when I saw the article in the paper. I am so very sorry that I was not able to attend the gathering last SAt. Wally and I so appreciated knowing Eddie and Ellen, not only at Soines but even after we moved out here. Penny was always a bright spot in Wally's life. He has now been gone almost 5 years and during his illness I really lost touch with Ellen. I so enjoyed in the 80's taking her to visit my step mother in Bremerton who delighted in seeing her each visit. She was a dear, dear friend and I loved going to her Tacoma Ave. apt. with treats. She was so appreciative. How she loved her 3 daughters and it was a joy to hear her share about visits and the grandchildren. To have her as part of my past is so special as are the precious dishes she gave us...1 divided dish even had cookies in it! Her love of antiques sparked my interest and I am grateful. May the Lord sustain you with many precious memories, knowing she surely was given a long, productive life which touched many others.
