Elizabeth L. Karl's Obituary
Elizabeth (Ellington) Karl, born January 17th, 1924 in Oxford, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on July 8th, 2008 at 10:30 AM at Manor Care Health Center in Tacoma.
Known as Beth by family and friends, she struggled with high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and the inability to walk.
Beth served her country by working 23 years for the Federal Civil Service Supply at Fort Lewis in the Supply Division until she suffered a fall at work. She never fully recovered from this accident.
Beth is survived by her husband of 23 years, Charles J. Karl; her sister, Nell Boyd; brother-in-law, Earl Boyd; niece, Andrea Lynn Montagno; and nephews Andrew Earl Boyd Jr. and Christopher Meredith Boyd. Beth was previously married to James Marvin Wever for 34 years. She will be missed by friends and family.
A rosary will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 14th, 2008 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 10508 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498, followed by funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. John Bosco Church, Haiti Fund, 10508 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.
