I taught first grade at North Star Elementary when the building opened and Beth was the librarian. I always thought Beth was the principal because she ran the school. She made the schedules for teachers (and that was not an easy task) and she made sure everything ran smoothly. She advocated for the teachers and was active in the Bethel Education Association. She made sure everyone had their fair share of planning time and she made sure we had our textbooks. She did everything. She was not just the librarian. She was so much more. We could count on Beth to help us, protect us, support, guide, and give us advice. I was computer illiterate, but Beth would always be there to assist me. She not only took care of her colleagues she took care of her students and taught them lifetime skills. She was dependable, professional, efficient, and such a good person and friend. This is such a sad, sad time. I will miss her tremendously. Bobbie
