Elisabeth "Betty" Utterback's Obituary
Elisabeth “Betty” Utterback, 76, of Tacoma passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021. Born in Tacoma, WA on June 16, 1944, Betty was a proud homemaker. Betty is survived by her 3 children; Kimberly, Denise, and Norman Jr. as well as her 5 grandchildren: Deborah, Aaron, Christopher, Britney, and Evan. Betty was also survived by her brothers Oscar Pease III and Wesley Pease along with many nieces & nephews. Elisabeth is preceded by her devoted husband Norman Utterback who would have just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Betty is also preceded by her parents Oscar Pease Jr. and Rosella Pease as well as her sister Ila Pease. Betty grew up on McKinley Hill and graduated from Lincoln High in 1963. She was a dedicated Navy wife and mother. Family was what she cherished the most. Betty enjoyed all the places she got to live but always looked forward to coming “home”. Betty enjoyed decades of “Birthday Club” with a phenomenal group of women. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, shopping, and sewing. Her crafting knew no end as she also knew how to crochet, macramé, needlepoint, quilt, and enjoyed her years of ceramics. She will be incredibly missed. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 at 2 pm in the Garden Chapel with Graveside Service for urn placement on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at 1:30 pm.
