Eline Kirstine Jensen's Obituary
Eline Jensen passed away on March 6, 2014 at the age of 100. She was born in Askov, MN into a family of 13 children. She married Marvin Peterson in 1937 and they eventually moved to University Place where Marvin died in 1968. They were blessed with 3 children: Gary (Peterson), Treva (Walters), and Ebba (Jacobson), with 9 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandkids to follow. Eline later married Bill Jensen of Askov and made her home there until Bill’s death, when she returned to Tacoma. Her life-long passions were family, music, speaking and writing in Danish, the Lutheran Church, and extensive letter exchanges with friends and relatives over the years. We thank the Tacoma Lutheran Home staff for the loving care they provided for many years. An intimate, family graveside service is planned.
