Elfrieda Gertrude Brown's Obituary
ELFRIEDA G. REBISCHKE BROWN
Elfrieda was born in Randall, MN on Jan. 22, 1917 to August and Agnes Rebischke. She went to Heaven to be with her Lord on Feb. 19, 2015. She was no. 5 of 10 children, and the last to survive. She married Henry Brown in 1938 and in 1942 they relocated to WA State. She resided in Tacoma most of her life. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Brown in 1957 and her husband, Henry in 1997 after 59 years of marriage.
Elfrieda is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ray) Beamish, grandchildren, Danelle Hess and Darin (Silvia) Beamish; six great grandchildren, Kiana, Ciara & Skylar Hess; Sophia, Adam, and Jacob Beamish all of Puyallup as well as many nieces and nephews. Her family was the light of her life! She cherished having family around her through the yrs., and felt blessed to be able to spend so much time with them.
She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tacoma before moving to Puyallup to live with her daughter and son-in-law 4 ½ yrs ago. She loved traveling, reading, bowling, crocheting, ceramics, playing cards, and always enjoyed a good ‘laugh’. She loved to cook and bake, and was the “best” pie baker ever!
She loved her Lord, and as much as she wanted to be here with her family, she was looking forward to reuniting with her beloved daughter and husband.
She was an amazing lady who loved life and her independence. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. At her request, a private family service was held at Mt. View Cemetery.
