Elfreda Mae Hurcomb
Age 96 of Gig Harbor, Washington passed away on December 28, 2015 in her home with her only child Richard, one of her grand-daughters Katie, and her loyal friend Rob at her side.
Born in Long Creek, Illinois on November 24, 1919 to Andrew Jackson Rutherford and his wife Ona May Rutherford, she was the second child of 6 children. She is survived by her youngest sister Sandra Danis as well as her son Richard Hurcomb and her three grand daughters, Lisa Livingood, Laura Hurcomb and Kathleen Hurcomb. Her great-grandchildren are Isaac Livingood, Lydia Livingood, Gilbert Livingood, Jordan HurcombHalvorsen, Logan HurcombHalvorsen, Sophia Terian, and Sam Condori. Elfreda also has 4 surviving great-great grandchildren; Raven HurcombHalvorsen, Zelda Hurcomb-Schmidt, Rowan Hurcomb-Schmidt, and Charlie Hurcomb-Schmidt who was born 6 hours after her great-great grandmother slipped into her final sleep to wait for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is with gusto and fearlessness that Elfreda, our beloved grandmother lived her life. It is our intent to be like her in this regard and are thankful beyond measure that we had her with us as long as we did. Thank you Lord.
A Funeral for Elfreda with graveside committal will be held- Thursday, December 31st, 12:00 PM in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
