Tacoma, Washington - Eleanor I. Westaby, age 87, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, February 28. Eleanor was born in Tacoma, August 25, 1934, and graduated from Puyallup High School in 1952. She married Victor C. Knarreborg and moved to San Diego, CA where they raised their 3 children. In 1977 Eleanor returned to Washington State and worked for the Department of Social and Health Services. She enjoyed traveling, good food – especially her ice cream, singing her favorite hymns and spending time with her children, but most of all she loved her role as "Nana". She was predeceased by her late husband Charles Westaby and survived by her 3 children: Victor Knarreborg (wife Linda), Rick Knarreborg (wife Debra), and Elaine Myers (husband Ed), 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. We will miss our Nana, but know she is with her savior.
