Hi mom, wanted to share with everyone what a wise woman you were. You had teriffic common sense & I often think of your life advice as my journey continues. You taught me about St. Anthony who has never let me down. My friends and family request my pleading to St. Anthony when they lose something dear to them. When Gary and I were going thru financial difficulties a few times your advice of, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going", gave me the confidence to do whatever it took . I know the quote came from General George Patton but it did not mean the same coming from him.
You taught me to keep learning. I recall you reading the Encyclopedia Britanica and how excited you were to have those books in your home for your children. Then, I only liked the plastic inserts of the human body with the muscles and veins. You thought it was so cool I could look up anything on my smart phone. Our last conversation was reading a recipe for buttermilk chicken. You wanted to confirm the ingredients as you remembered. You were such a smart, funny, caring and wise wise woman. I sincerely do miss you. I remember you with a smile on my face every time I think of you.
