Eldon L. Marshall Jr.'s Obituary
Eldon L. Marshall, Jr.
August 8, 1929 - March 11, 2014
Eldon was born in Lostwood, North Dakota and moved with his family to Washington at a young age. Eldon graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School in 1948. Upon graduation, Eldon joined the Navy Reserves and trained as a sheet metal worker and spent his career in the Local Sheet Metal Workers’ Union.
Eldon met and married his wife Dolores in 1968 and have lived in the home they built since 1975. The years that followed have been spent enjoying the company of family, friends and neighbors. Eldon had an adventurous spirit! He and Dolores traveled frequently across the United States. Eldon especially loved Alaska; where he and Dolores shared their common interest in the outdoors and Eldon’s passion for fishing.
Eldon always looked forward to attending a variety of social activities and events. He attended all of his LHS Class Reunions and had been a lifetime active member of both the local Elks and Eagles Fraternities. Those of us who knew Eldon would suspect his best times were spent tinkering in his shop, tending his garden or barbequing on the deck; watching the waves over Puget Sound.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; Beulah and Eldon Marshall Sr., sister; Lois Worley and a step-daughter; Sandra Baker. He is survived by Dolores; his beloved wife of 46 years, sister; Audrey Bennet, brothers ; Ron, Jim and Eddie Marshall, daughters; Donna Emig, Kathy (Roger) Vater, son; Gary Marshall, stepchildren; Dennis (Sue)Kelley, Sharon Garcia, Cathleen (Gary) Stearns and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
