Elaine Fujiko Strickland
Elaine Fujiko Strickland, 80, of 11212 Holden Road SW, passed away into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday. She was born in Hilo, Hawaii and had lived in Lakewood since 1966.
Before retirement she worked as a welfare examiner for the State of Washington. She was the loving wife of J. Warren Strickland who served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. She lovingly raised three sons and enjoyed all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elaine attended Lake City Community Church.
Survivors include two of her three sons, Dr. and Mrs. Wayne G. Strickland and Mr. Ronald M. Strickland; six grand children, Kendra Diamond, Nathan Strickland, Christopher Strickland, Desiree Sheff, Dominique Jessee, and Danielle Strickland; and six great grandchildren, Kenneth Diamond, Ethan Diamond, Joey Strickland, Ethan Strickland, Kelon Strickland, and Ryan Sheff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Warren Strickland and her youngest son, Kenneth W. Strickland.
Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday, June 30, 2012.
