Eileen Borders' Obituary
Eileen M. Borders
Born June 5, 1923 Died October 28, 2015
Our Mother was involved in many activities throughout her life and remained active until her death. She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Borders, who died in April 1981. She is survived by daughters Jackie Szlosek, Karen Butts and Nancy Hartman; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Eileen was born in North Dakota but spent the majority of her youth in Idaho. After graduating high school, she came to the Pacific Northwest and fell in love with the area, settling in Tacoma. She met and married Homer and raised their family. She worked as a photo finisher and later as a health room aide at Keithly JH in Parkland – a job she loved and found rewarding. Per her wishes, the immediate family will gather at a later date to spread her ashes in Puget Sound, where she spent many happy times boating with family and friends.
