Eileen A. Wheeler was born in Centralia on Sept 28th, 1917 to Leonard and Lillian Rhodes, and passed away on Sept 16th, 2002 in Tacoma, WA surrounded by her family.She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ardith, husband Claude Wheeler and son Wendell Dobson.Eileen was a life long member of the Community of Christ Church. Active as a Sunday school teacher, womenÂ's leader and held the office of Priest.Eileen and her late husband were foster parents for special needs children for nearly 20 years and she remained an advocate for children her entire life. Being together as a family was always a great source of joy to mom. She was especially proud of her Native American heritage.She is survived by brother Loren Rhodes; sister Judith Jagelski; daughter-in-law Anne Dobson; sons Alden Dobson (Louise), Larry Dobson (Nancy), Carl Wheeler (Sue); daughters Leanne Sowers (Rich), Claudia Bootsma, Shawna Wheeler; stepsons Jim Wheeler (Gail), Jerry Wheeler; 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
