Edwin B. Suhre passed away on April 29th after an extended illness. He was born July 8, 1929 in Collinsville Illinois. He leaves his wife of 53 years Susan, daughter Stacie, son Steve (Priscilla), four grandchildren (Josh, Courtnie, Christopher and Ashley), two great grandsons (Jaxon and Hudson), and his devoted friend Dan Vela.
He retired from the United States Army in 1969 after serving 23 years. He retired at the rank of MSG-E8. He then went on to work for 15 years as a dental technician working for several dentists in Lakewood.
Ed was generous, kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, cards and playing the penny machines. His strong willed determination during the last 15 years has left an amazing legacy of hard work and resilience that will always be remembered. He will forever hold a special place in our life and in our hearts. May he forever see the sun shine and feel the warmth upon his face and may he always feel the fish bite.
Our sincere gratitude to the staff of Davita in Lakewood for the wonderful care Ed received the past four years. A special thank you to Amanda...Ed adored you! We’d also like to thank Dr. Birlenbach for the extordinary care he provided over the past several years.
