Edwin C. Fagerness' Obituary
Edwin C. Fagerness, born February 11th 1914 passed away peacefully at his son's home Wednesday May 7th, 2008.
Born and raised in Rochester, Washington Ed was a life-long outdoorsman. He met and married Mildred Harris in 1936 they were married for 56 years.
Ed worked for Glacier Sand and Gravel and was a life-long member of the International Union of Operating Enegineers.
Ed is survived by his sisters Elsie and Shirley and brother Melvin; his son Donald and his wife Louise, their three sons Timothy and his wife Dawn, Todd and his wife Kristi sons Elias and Evan, daughter Elyssa, Ted and his wife Sonya and their sons Nicholas, Nathan and Nolan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed is preceded in death by his wife Mildred Fagerness, November 10th 1992; brothers Ragnor and Walter, sisters Ester, Edna, Venley and Ellen.
Grandpa will always be remembered for his love of camping, hunting and fishing and these skills which he passed down to his son and grandsons. He always had many stories of the big ones that did not get away and many more stories of the even bigger ones that did.
The family wishes to thank Multicare Hospice staff for their kind and tender treatment of Grandpa during his last days. In lieu of flowers donations maybe sent to Multicare Hospice and Palliative Care Services.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10th 2008 at 1pm in the Garden Chapel of Mountain View Memorial Park. 253-584-0252
