Edward Santiago Yockman Jr.'s Obituary
Edward Santiago Yockman, Jr., was born Nov 3, 1947 in Honolulu, HI, and passed away peacefully on Jul 12, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Elda Neal Yockman; sisters Elaine, Erainier, & Evalani. Edward gained profound happiness spending time with family, joy in the company of his friends, and passion in making others happy. His kind words and wisdom will forever be embedded into anyone that he met. He was a Pioneer Member of Soka Gakkai International USA, an Army veteran, a Relay for Life of Tacoma team member, and an accountant for over 40 years, and deeply enjoyed hiking & dancing. Our brother will be forever loved and deeply missed by all. Edward is survived by his siblings Joseph (Judy) Yockman of Ewa Beach, HI; Edwina (Willie Smith of Columbus, GA; Eric, Elvan (Susan); Elvia (Dennis) Kantzer; & Eileen (Samuel) Eddleman, all of Washington. He is also mourned by Uncle Rudy and Aunty Sheila Tabelisma, Los Angeles, CA; Aunty Soledad Obado, Lanai, HI; and Aunty Mary (Dennis) Tom, Maui, HI; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A special thank you to Virginia Mason staff & Multicare Hospice for the care and concern they extended to Edward and our family. Edward's service will be held Saturday, Aug 5, 2017, 3pm, at the SGI-USA Tacoma Buddhist Center 1610 S Mildred St, Tacoma.
