Edward Joseph Smith's Obituary
Smith, Edward Joseph, "Eddie" age 60, of Tacoma, WA passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Eddie was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1979. Eddie was also an active Special Olympian, having received 4 gold medals in swimming.
Eddie enjoyed fishing, painting, and riding his bike when he was young. He appreciated looking at semi-trucks and classic cars. He loved watching The Deadliest Catch and police shows. Eddie enjoyed telling stories to everyone he loved, and to anyone who would listen.
Preceded in death by his parents Howard and May Smith. He is survived by his loving sister, Gail E. Galarza; his niece, Eileen R. (Michio D. Winters) Galarza; great nieces, Iyana D. Galarza, Shelby M. Winters, and Sydney H. Winters; and numerous friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:15 PM Friday, October 2, 2020 at Mountain View Funeral Memorial Park 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood WA 98499.
