Edward Charles Skar's Obituary
Edward Charles Skar, 67, of Tacoma, WA passed away on April 15, 2021 after a long battle with Cancer.
Edward Charles Skar was born December 27, 1953 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to Orlin Skar and Donna Busick. Edward grew up in the Rice Lake area where he graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1972. Upon graduating, Edward joined the United States Air Force and the United States Army, serving in both branches for a total of 20 years.
On May 9, 2015 Edward married the love of his life Shemvy Duero in the Philippines. Shemvy loves and misses Edward very much.
Edward is survived by his wife Shemvy Skar of Tacoma, WA, his Son Wendell Skar (Jennifer) of Puyallup, WA, Grandson Brayden Skar of Puyallup, WA, Mother Donna Amerson of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Sister Cynthia (Bruce) Butterfield of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Sister Annette (Thomas) Sykora of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Sister Melissa (Jon) Luther of Jim Falls, Wisconsin. Mother and Father-in-law Herminio and Francisca Duero, Brother-in-law Junrey Duero, Sister-in-law Shera May Duero all of the Philippines.
Edward is predeceased by his Father Orlin Skar, Step-Father Joseph Amerson, and his first Wife Susan Mun Skar.
Military Honors will be rendered on May 7th at 2:30PM at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA.
Services will be held on May 7 at 4:00PM at Tacoma Calvary Church, 3680 S. Cedar Street, Tacoma, WA.
