Edward Fali Poloka's Obituary
Edward "Eki" Fali Poloka, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 27. Born in American Samoa on May 18, 1997, Edward was the third of seven children and the only boy. He held a unique and cherished place in his family, embodying humility, care, love, and selflessness.
Edward attended Siliaga Elementary School and graduated in 2015 from Leone High School. He moved to South Hill, Washington, and became a respected employee of the United States Postal Service. A proud homeowner since 2018, Edward exemplified hard work and determination.
A devoted Christian and active member of the Voice of Christ Church, Edward’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was deeply passionate about video games and was well-loved within the gaming community. He also enjoyed staying active by going to the gym and playing volleyball. His playlists were a harmonious mix of country music and Polynesian Jam, reflecting his diverse tastes and love for his culture.
Edward was taken from us far too soon by a tragic act of violence at his workplace in Tukwila, Washington. Yet, his legacy of kindness and peace endures. His family and friends will always remember him as a protector and a source of joy and laughter.
Edward is survived by his parents, Eteuati and Peti Poloka, and his sisters, Kilbella Poloka, Amata Filiga, Maryann U. Samoa, Fetoa’i Uipo, Peoleta Uipo, and Sabrina Patiasa, who all mourn the loss of a remarkable young man. His memory continues to inspire love and strength in the lives of those who knew him.
May Edward rest in eternal peace and may his example of compassion and devotion live on in the hearts of many.
