Edward E. Mriglot Jr.'s Obituary
Edward E. Mriglot, Jr. (Eddie) was born on June 20, 1934 in Tacoma, WA. He passed away on Feb. 27, 2025. He was surrounded by so many family members and friends before he passed peacefully.
Eddie graduated from Lincoln High School, in Tacoma, in 1952. He went to work for P.S.N.S. in Bremerton, WA, as a Ship Fitter. He worked there for 36 years and considered them as friends and his 2nd family.
Eddie enjoyed fishing, hunting, squidding, bowling, playing card games with his grandsons and friends, golfing and dancing with his many friends at the Eagles Aerie #3.
My dad was a kind, loving, funny, honest, strong, sweet as can be and was loved by all who knew him. He was old fashioned in some ways, but he adapted to becoming pretty hip and cool with the younger generation. He was a leader and mentor to many. I am so thankful and blessed that he became my dad over 36 years ago. He was the dad I was waiting for all my life and my family and I feel so blessed to have countless amazing memories with him and my mom. We went to Hawaii twice together, we took a road trip to Disneyland and California Adventure and my dad especially loved 2 rides - Indiana Jones and Soarin. His love of fresh seafood often took us on road trips to Westport and Ocean Shores for fresh crab.
He will always be remembered for his family recipes that were passed down from generation to generation and passed on to us.
He is survived by his wife, Young Ja, daughter, JoAnn (Glen), three fine grandsons, Jacob, Karl and Nathan, Niece, Debbie, Nephew, David, Nephew, Ho Chin (Myung Na), niece, Ria (Solomon), many cousins, many other nieces and nephews. He also wanted to mention his family that preceded him - his mom and dad (Edward Sr. and Evelyn), his sister Betty and brothers, Ronald and Gary and 1st wife, Bok Soon. He was especially close to his sister Betty (Howard) and they talked almost every day before she passed.
Our hearts are broken that we won't have him here physically but he will truly live on forever, in our hearts. We love you so much DAD!
At my dad's requests, he does not want to have a Service or viewing. We will have a celebration of life!
