Edward L. "Nip" Everett
Edward "Nip" Everett , 78, loving father, brother and friend passed away surrounded by his family at his Lakewood home, on Feb. 1, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. Nip was born Aug. 24,1930, in Tacoma to Eric and Patricia Everett and attended Lincoln H.S. He served in the USAir Force and worked for the Federal Prison System at McNeil Island as Superintendent of Electronic Industries until he retired in 1980. Shortly thereafter, he started up his own business, NEPNA Co. He was a member of the Lakewood Masonic Lodge and Tacoma Elks. An avid sports fan, he ran track in H.S., played semi-pro baseball while in the Air Force, bowled for many years, and loved fishing and going to the Seahawks games. He follows in death wife Eleanor "Poggey" and is survived by: daughters Linda (German), Patricia (Mathusz), son Michael, grandchildren Tina (Baker), Ryan and Kim German, great grandson Darren, first wife Sandy, sisters Joanne (Hawn) and family, Gayle (Cammarano) and family, brother Gordon and family, along with many close friends, including Cecelia, and his beloved Yorkies; Bambam, Flower, and Sugar. Services will be held 10:00AM Sat., Feb. 7th, in the Aspen Chapel in the Celebration of Life Bldg. at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood. Reception following.
