Just learned of Ed's death. What a wonderful man and true professional. Met him while working for Union Pacific's real estate subsidiary. We worked together on the Kansas City Terminal properties. Learned a lot from him. He was a role model for all of us. We probably met in 1970. He remained a friend for over 30 years. Still remember his retirement party in Chicago. I had the priviledge of knowing Ed Stoll through the MRHA and a convention we put on in Fife, WA about 5 years ago. He was always a true gentleman and had offered to take me on a tour of the CMSP & P facilities he had put together in Kent. Sadly, I waited too long to take him up on his offer! I apologize for not responding to Ed's passing earlier. I was just informed today. I want both Ed and Evelyn's family to know what a huge important impact they both made in our Valley Medical family. Ed was deeply involved in the Volunteer program, serving as both past President of our Board of Directors but he also was a long time Treasurer on our Board. Both he and Evelyn supported Valley Medical Center physically, financially, and emotionally for many, many years. Ed became a personal friend of mine though our constant contact. He supported me personally in my professional life here at Valley. When they moved to Tacoma there was a huge void in both mine and Valley's life. My deepest condolances to the family. I feel privileged to have known both of the Stoll's

He gave a number of detailed accounts and amusing anecdotes about his work with the Milwaukee in the Puget Sound area. When I vision Ed in my mind, it is with a huge smile and with a cheerful greeting, "Good Morning, Beautiful Day isnt it" (No matter what the weather!) I met Ed at Point Defiance Village where my mother, Vi Thompson, resides, my father having died this past summer. I was very fond of Ed. He was an interesting dinner companion and I looked forward to sharing meals with him while visiting mom.
I was so sorry to hear of his passing. He survived so many health issues...I just thought he'd keep on going! I will miss him.
